Our Immersion (soak) tanks work 24/7, while items in everyday use should be cleaned every day, other items such as gas rings and filters cleaned weekly. Based on your style of cooking we can assist in creating a customer cleaning schedule.
Our non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning agent is designed to be reused daily for a month even with daily top-ups of water. One of our friendly, trained technicians will visit monthly to take care of the draining, cleaning and replacing of the solution.
Initial cleaning may require an overnight soak (or 48 hours for heavily carbonised items), but thereafter, some equipment will require 1 – 2 hours, while others with hard ingrained carbon will benefit from an overnight soak.
As our Carbext Immersion tank together with the decarbonising detergent run at 65-70°c all harmful bacteria are killed, so all items removed from the Carbext Immersion tank will be sanitised.
Our Polypropylene Immersion tanks are available in a variety of sizes, so there is one to fit every size operation. We know space is often at a premium, but we have experience in finding convenient locations for an immersion Tank in some of the tightest kitchens around. Our extensive standard range in most cases covers most requirements.
The Carbx-001 Decarbonising detergent solution is completely safe, using only non-toxic chemicals. However, due to heat and steam, it is recommended that you use heat-resistant gloves, safety goggles and aprons.
Most metal items, including aluminium, can be cleaned in the Carbext Immersion Tank, however it is not suitable for silver, tin-plated, Teflon or Silicone coated, wood and thin plastic items.
